BMW Cars Team Up With Olympic Games

Dec 18, 2009

It has just been announced that BMW will be partnering with the Olympics in 2012 to supply them with cars to transport all of the athletes around in.

In fact BMW are going to be sending over 4,000 BMW Cars over to the Olympic and it would seem that the deciding factor on BMW is because they are really trying hard to cut down on all those CO2 emissions. However surely sending 4,000 cars over to the UK to use for just two weeks to only have to send them back again is actually going to use up a lot of fuel.

Surely there are better ways to get these people where they need to be?

Runners

Will it’s in the title really, get off your arses and run to the stadium. No need for us to spend money on training facilities if you ran to work. These people are meant to be at the top of their game right?

Rowers

The simple answer to this one is get in your boat and row down the Thames to get to your destination. The thing is, you do it every single day of your life, one extra time isnt going to hurt you!

Cyclists

Enough said really, it isn’t that hard for you to actually get on a bike and ride it in to the stadium. Many thousands of people do it everyday.

Of course if you do not take part in any of these events, WALK IN? By the looks of things it would seem that putting those people into these cars is going to increase the C02 omissions. They are not even famous enough to deserve such luxuries!

So the next time you are after a used cars you could wait for the 4,000 that are going to be left at the end of the games. If you are perhaps really lucky you could always get one of the cars from the BMW 3 series.
