An easy way which people can invest in the market is by buying and holding high dividend paying stocks. These stocks simply pay a portion of their income to the shareholders, so it is extra money off of an investment.
The great thing about this is that not only does an investor not assume any more risk, but they don’t even have to do anything else aside from buying the stock to recieve them consistently.
2. Selling Covered Calls
Selling covered calls is a similar approach, yet it can be more profitable. By selling a call you recieve money up front, but you are also obligating yourself to sell your stock in the future at a given price should the buyer choose to exercise the option. Call options do eventually expire worthless if the buyer does not use them, which means that most calls will not be exercised . Just be prepared to sell the stock if you do sell a call.
While selling calls do add on a little bit more risk they can be a lot more profitable then dividends.
3. Trading Options
Another more active way of investing is by trading options. Stock options can be extremely profitable if used correctly. Of course there is a learning curve and it may take some time to get the hang of, but it has the highest potential out of all money making strategies in the stock market.
