Get off That Treadmill!

If you want to know the real truth on how to lose weight fast then keep reading.
You might think it’s crazy that a fitness expert would tell you to stop using your treadmill. In fact, that same expert will probably tell you to stop using that elliptical trainer too. If they’re really so ineffective, then why are they so popular? These machines won’t affect you in a negative way, but they’re also not that effective in weight loss. There are better ways to use your time for your weight loss goal.

Here a just a few suggestions of exercises to focus on without spending so much mind-numbing time on the cardio trainers:

1. Try jumping rope for building focus and hand-eye coordination. It’s also a great way to work out. The jump rope not only replaces the elliptical machine, but it actually works better for improving your overall physical stamina. Find different and challenging ways to jump rope and work to increase your speed.
2. Rather than running on the treadmill, try sprinting outside. This gives you a broader heart rate range that benefits you more than the steady rate of the treadmill. A way to use your sprinting time wisely is to sprint up hills and then just walk at a slower pace back down. Repeat this for as long as you can. You’ll feel really tired at first, but as your endurance builds up you will ultimately be glad you stuck with it.
3. Exercises that make you use all of your weight such as wall climbing, lunges, and push-ups can help you to stay focused and evenly exercise your whole body.
4. Swimming gives you good resistance exercise while working out more of your body, making it a preferred exercise for health and fitness. Don’t just loaf in the pool either: do some sprints with brief intervals of rest.

These are just some ways on how you can lose weight fast. Put them to good use.
If you’ve noticed, most of these exercises require a bit more effort than hopping on the elliptical machine or treadmill. If you just take the time and energy required for an effective workout, then you will see far better results than if you just keep using your ineffective and expensive equipment.
