No More Xbox Breakages?
It would seem that Microsoft has released a new version of the 360 that seems to have fixed the problems. The real question that needs to be asked here is, why on earth wasn’t it fixed sooner?
The console came out in November of 2005 and it was clear that it came with problems when the first lot of people started to see the red rings of death. You know its control throwing time when the green lights on the front turn to three red lights. This of course means that there is no way that your console is going to be able to be used again without repair.
It is unbeliveable to think that the console has been out for four years and the solution to the problem has only just been put into the consoles. So what was the problem?
Well basically as the console got hotter it would start to melt the soldering iron on the top of one of the major components. Of course when this happens there is no way it can be fixed hence the three red rings. If you wrap up the console in a cold towel then you can put a short fix on the problem but it will return to you in the near future. Doing this will help you cool down the console. However this is said to only fix the console for a short time so you still have to send it off at some point.
I am really unsure on why it has Taken Microsoft such a long time to actually go out and fix this as it was costing them a lot to repair the consoles for free.
So whether it was the cable ties, Deutsch connectors or of course the electrical components at least they have fixed it.
