Some airlines that appeared to be mainstays have since crumbled. That is the nature of business, especially in the tough airline industry. Philippine Airlines has certainly seen its fair share of hard times, too. They were able to come out of receivership in 2007 after going into it in the late 90s. But through it all, they don’t seem to have lost the fighting spirit that they started with in 1941. As part of upgrading their fleet to current standards, they are purchasing the latest technologically equipped aircraft.
There is more to Philippine Airlines than just flying. They are a socially aware and responsible company that makes efforts to help those in need everywhere. In 1992 the Philippine Airlines founded PALF (the Philippine Airlines Foundation) which acts in concert with the company’s community relations. PALF is an accredited organization that, among other things, offers things like disaster relief and crisis aid. The primary part of the PALF program, though, are the PAL Medical Travel Grants. What they do is offer assistance in a variety of social and humanitarian forms to those who need it in the Philippines. The PAL foundation focuses primarily on the noble goal of helping those who cannot help themselves like the children and the elderly.
Like all other major airlines, Philippine Airlines offers a complete range of hotel and tour packages available for their passengers. PAL made a concerted effort to choose only those programs and packages that provide the greatest amount of variety for their customers. So regardless of what your preference may be, you will be assured to find something that suits your tastes. PAL’s exclusive catering to corporate frequent fliers is well served this way. They went so far as to create a special department to provide custom business frequent flier packages. The end result is their corporate business customers will be totally accommodated.
If you fly Philippine Airlines within the Philippines, you will be able to enjoy some of the amenities offered by The Mabuhay Lounge. The airport lounge is owned by PAL and they use it for themselves. However, this great lounge can only be used by Mabuhay Class passengers and the people who belong to the Mabuhay Premier Elite and Miles Elite membership programs. Mabuhay Lounge facilities can also be found in international airports in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Honolulu. PAL offers this and other perks to the customers it values the most.
As you can see, Philippine Airlines has weathered many types of storms in their history that spans over half a decade. In 1941, they started out with only one small Beechcraft airplane, making this even more impressive. Life seems to be reflected in many ways in this not altogether sad story.

It would seem that the news has been announced that BAA workers are no longer going to be striking this year which is absolutely fantastic news for all of those people either flying out of Britain or coming into the country for your vacation this year.
The Problem
The issue was surprise, surprise over money and this time once again staff members were apparently not getting enough of it despite actually making a fair bit more than a lot of people in the country. The main issue I see with this is that if they keep doing this and forcing companies to dish out money they do not have then they are actually going to be responsible for the miserable failing of their company.
The Threat
Of course the threat of people not listening to their demands was a mass strike across six airports across the UK which included Heathrow and Stansted. Even if just one of these six closed it would have cost the company millions of pounds, a strike across all six would have seriously damaged the company. if this actually happened you would have to look at paying off the airlines as all of their flights would have been grounded, not good at all.
The Solution
Although this was actually solved and all of the workers are to get a very fair 2% pay rise does this mean the public are in danger of actually paying more for their travels now thanks to these people who actually did already get a very fair wage, it is pretty crazy really?
In the end you might be worth going to one of those Torquay hotels or something likespa breaks as you won’t have to fly anywhere. Of course you could just book yourChristmas holidays now and not go away this summer!

It would seem that the news has been announced that BAA workers are no longer going to be striking this year which is absolutely fantastic news for all of those people either flying out of Britain or coming into the country for your vacation this year.
The Problem
One of the main issues, in fact, the main issue was once again over money and it would seem that staff members were not getting enough even though it would seem that the profession is quite a well paid one overall. The problem is that because they keep demanding more and more money in an industry that is on the brink of destruction (more and more airlines flat lining each year) they are actually contributing to the failings of their own company.
The Threat
the threat of the people not listening to them was of course a massive strike that would have shut six airports across the UK. Even if just one of these six closed it would have cost the company millions of pounds, a strike across all six would have seriously damaged the company. if this actually happened you would have to look at paying off the airlines as all of their flights would have been grounded, not good at all.
The Solution
The solution was that they gave in (what choice did they really have) and gave the workers a big 2% pay rise which is great when it comes to the people working there but does this mean that prices to the public are going to raise by a whopping 2%??
In the end you might be worth going to one of those Family holidays or something like spa breaks as you won’t have to fly anywhere. Of course you could just book your Christmas holidays now and not go away this summer!

Here is a list of the most annoying and idiotic airlines over the past 8 months, and some of the things they have done to annoy us:
Ryanair have proved once again how annoying they can be, by raising there prices to ridiculous amounts. They used to be a very cheap airline, and in some respects they still are. However they have just announced to the world that they will be increasing charges on checking in Luggage. continue reading »
