One of the most popular trilogies of the last 10 years has been the Pirates of the Caribbean, with some very famous names. However the end of the 3rd film left the series open for yet more gnarly pirate talk, and a “Yo ho ho” for another film. The film trilogy is due to add another to its repertoire making it even longer bigger and to add bigger names as well. However in terms of how bad this could be for the film, we will need to wait until it comes out to find out.

For all of your Captain Sparrow fans you will be happy to know that he is still being played by Johnny Depp. Many of the main characters are not even involved in the film anymore. The characters played by Orlando Bloom and Kiera Knightly have no reason to be in this film, so they were not casted. This then spurred on the director to bring in some top quality actors. George Rush was a happy man, as he managed to retain position as Barbossa.

So without putting this off, here is a couple more of the actors in this next film? Well in short Penelope Cruz will be taking up the new role as leading lady, an echo from Jack Sparrows past. However even more excitingly is that one Dame Judi Dench has managed to land herself a Cameo role in the film as a Noblewoman coming to Jack Sparrows aid! Judi Dench is known to many people around the world, so she could help to attract even more viewers. It is expected that this film is likely to boost Caribbean holidays 2011 sales, as the first 3 did also have an effect on tourism choices. It could be interesting to see how this film could affect deals on Barbados holidays, which is a popular destination for holiday makers, and famous pirate styled bars!

Two words to describe the Cayman Islands: spick and span. They may offer white sand beaches, coral reefs and and great dining options, but the draw for many loyal visitors is that this is the Caribbean unspoiled. Crime is negligible, there are no vagrants and you’ll struggle even to find an unemptied litter bin.

The islands are a UK Crown Colony, but the vibe is American, as are the majority of the visitors. Don’t go looking for jump-ups, cook-outs and calypso bands. But the Caymans are far from boring – the diving here is among the best on Earth and even with a snorkel and mask you can swim amongst shoals of exotic fish and see small sharks and huge eels.

Most holidays on the Cayman Islands start on the main island, Grand Cayman, which in Seven Mile Beach has one of the finest shorelines in the Caribbean. However it’s smaller sister islands, Little Cayman and Cayman Brac, are easy to reach on a short-hop flight. Unspoilt Little Cayman (pop. 100) is starkly beautiful and teeming with wildlife: the airfield is a mere dirt strip and motorists must give way to iguanas.

The big hotels all sit on Seven Mile Beach and are American in style (big rooms, good on service, short on character), but dotted around Grand Cayman you can find charming inns and guest houses with reasonable rates. Little Cayman has some elegant hideaways popular with both divers and landlubbers – known as “relaxers”. This is a great place for a honeymoon in the Cayman Islands. It’s not the best place if you’re on your own. Instead, check out these travel ideas for singles.

Nightlife is tame but eating out is a treat. On Grand Cayman, check out the Calypso Grill overlooking the water at Morgan’s Harbour. Starters include yellowfin tuna sashimi and shrimp cubano, followed by wahoo escoveitch or lobster gratinee. The atmosphere is buzzy, the food world class. You may need to reserve a table.

Another recommended place to eat is Crow’s Nest where you’ll find traditional island dishes such as peas ‘n’ rice. Also try La Bodega in the West Shore Center. It serves imaginative Latin food.

But to really see the Cayman Islands you need to pull on a mask. About a mile off Grand Cayman in open water is a shallow sandbank dubbed Stingray City where for some years local fishermen have been feeding rays, which are now so comfortable around humans that they are almost tame. You stand in the waist-deep water to stroke and feed these beautiful creatures. It’s an amazing experience and suitable for people of all ages – children love it. Stand still and they will rub up against your legs like affectionate cats. It’s a remarkable experience.
