The truth now is that a lot of bands will go up and approach Activision and MTV to be in the games Guitar Hero and Rock Band but there was a time in which they had to go around begging bands to allow them to use the songs in the games. This is more so for Guitar Hero when they were looking to release the first game as artists did not feel comfortable handing over master recordings to other people which is of course fair enough. After observing some bands both past and present it is clear that some of them really do love to throw their money away.. Is this for effect for the fans, a crowd pleaser or literally because they earn so much money they can do what they want, when they want to.

Musical instruments really do not come cheap no matter which one you play and if you are seeking out the best of the best it is going to cost you a small fortune everytime you have to go out and buy a new one. continue reading »

Whenever you see newish bands that haven’t quite got to the top of the charts yet you will almost always spot a small van outside of the gig that will contain both the band and all of their equipment. How important is the van to the group?

Vans are both affordable and cheap to run which is why many bands will often think back to the days in which the van was their best friend over the pet dog. continue reading »
