The Big Vans

Jan 13, 2011

There are a number of vans out there that are considered famous from the world of entertainment but these are really the most famous vans taken from the history of the entertainment world. Certainly not available from van leasing avenues, here are some of the best vans!

The Mystery Machine

Easily one of the most famous vans of all time and first appeared in 1969 in the Scooby- Doo show. You will find that it crops up over and over again in television shows and also appears in the live action movies that were made in the early 00s. It is never been said whether the gang actually live in this van when they are on the road or if it is just used to get them around. Usually Scooby and Shaggy can be found in the back eating something.

The A-Team Van

The famous black and metallic GMC van is one of the most famous parts of the A-Team television series and without the red stripe, mag wheel and rooftop spoiler this van would just not be the same at all. The van was used to get the team around but was used for other things too such as housing disguises and containing an audio surveillance system too!.

The Shaggin Wagon

This sounds quite a rude one but it is not and it is from the movie Dumb and Dumber and is one of the most visually best vans I have seen in entertainment. Harry spent all of his savings on some mega car accessories to make the van look a bit like a sheep dog. The most amusing feature this van has is that you have to lift the dogs leg up to actually fill the vehicle up with gas.

These are of course not the only vans out there although I cannot think of any famous people carriers.

One thing I’ve noticed that’s changed for me in these tough times is the fact that weekends no longer mean anything for me, not having the money to be able to afford extravagant trips to pubs and clubs, I find myself stuck indoors watching trashy Saturday night television for fear of accumulating further debt. So are the weekends really that much of a novelty anymore?

Sure we get a lie in and don’t have to face the grueling commute to the office, but then what? Can we stretch do doing anything exciting or out of the ordinary at night?? The days of spending hundreds of pounds each month on trips to lavish bars and clubs seem to be all but gone, at least for now, I simply can’t afford this lifestyle now.

Granted I am currently uk car leasing which takes up a sizable portion of my monthly income, but this is not a luxury as such, more an essential item for getting to work. Unhappy with our lack of disposable income and resulting lacl of things do in the evenings, me and my friends came up with the idea of a poker night.

Poker nights are fun, competitive, take up a fair chunk of time, and cost only as much as you are all willing to bet. Even if you all just put £5 in, the winner from a group of 5 takes £25, a fair winnings that would help me pay off my gap insurance. Of course pokers nights aren’t all about winning money, the game itself is the main appeal. If you keep winning you might even be able to afford that pair of vans trainers you have been starting for a while. Just remeber not to get to confident with your gambling successes!

Snow Delayed You?

Mar 28, 2010

A lot of the time it can be very hard to get into work because of the snow or something like that but the real question to ask is, do people just make excuses on why they cannot get in or are they really stuck in the snow?

If you have a smaller car or perhaps rely on the wonderful public transport you will know how difficult getting in can be in the snow, this is why a boss should actually not be cross if someone cannot get in because of this. so if someone like this is calling you up I wouldn’t bother shouting at them because the chances are, they cannot do anything about the weather. continue reading »

Car sales seems to have risen by a hell of a lot over the month of January but is this because people are thinking the recession is over or is it something else?

The Reasons

The amount of sales have really gone up by a lot, 29.8% from 2009 which is brilliant but lets not forget how much of a state the world was in last year. There were so many people last year that were just too scared to buy something like a car because they didn’t know what the recession would do to them. continue reading »

A snow day certainly causes a lot more accidents than the average day does and this is obviously down to the fact that the conditions for driving are terrible and people will just not listen and drive into work regardless. How come there seem to be more accidents in the snow than there has been in a long time?

Although we have seen some of the worst snow in a while it doesnt seem like it is this that is the reason behind it, the people driving on the roads are the problem. continue reading »
