There seem to be a lot of companies out there who do not encourage people to mess about with RC models I personally do not think there that there is any harm in having a bit of fun with them. There are many other uses (other than flying them for fun) that RC vehicles have given us and they have actually helped when it comes to things like fighting wars, catching criminals and doing jobs no human could actually do.

Spying

Many remote control helicopter as well as the more traditional RC aircraft are actually used for spying and obviously the planes are used more because they can go higher, are quieter and have longer lasting fuel on them. Many spy planes are based on the RC designs and if it wasn’t for the invention of these it may not have been possible to win many of the battles that both the USA and UK have won over the years. continue reading »

WW2 actually changed the way that we saw the tank which is why it has to be spoken about

WW2

Again WW2 wasn’t a time in which tanks made the most of cable ties and Hellermann tyton but it has to be the time where tanks were used to win battles rather than just as an extra. Without the tank developing it would be safe to say that WW2 would not have finished the way that it did. During this time the tank really came into play and it was turned from a heap of metal to the best used weapons system in the war. continue reading »

There have been many tanks made since they first were used in WW1, some have been bad in the way that they used Deutsch connectors and Solenoids and others have just been terrible in general.

The tank was first used in 1916 by the British as a means to try and stop the dreadlock that was the trench warfare. The word tank actually comes from the British as when the tank was in development they lied and said that they were water tanks to transport water. continue reading »
